Lana Fee Rasmussen: Grounding 2.1 – 3.24 2013
Opening Reception: Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, 5–9 PM
In her exhibition Grounding, Lana Fee Rasmussen reflects on how her transitory lifestyle of the past eight years has shaped the way she works today. Her images mirror the simple things that ground her to her finite homes and spaces, if only for awhile, and here at LCCM, Lana draws on these grounding forms to create another, much larger, impermanent home, directly on the gallery walls.
Originally from the Southern CA coast, Lana Fee Rasmussen is an interdisciplinary visual artist currently working with ink on paper. In 2006, Lana received her BFA in Studio Art from New York University, graduating with an interest in installation, stop-motion animation and performance. The catalyst for her move back West came after Lana found herself on a remote land art site in New Mexico in 2008. Lana currently lives and works in Northern CA, for now.
